Nestlé and L´Oréal join forces to launch nutritional complements.
Alliance between giants. The Swiss company Nestlé and the French company L´Oréal are going to create a joint undertaking for the development worldwide of cosmetic nutritional complements. The registered office of the company that results from the merger, to be baptised with the name Laboratorios Inneov and to be owned in equal parts by both groups, will be in France.
The aims of their future products will be “to improve the quality of skin, hair and nails by contributing the nutrients required by their physiology”. These products will benefit from the experience of both groups “in the nutritional research sector, in the case of Nestlé, and in dermatological research, in the case of L´Oréal”.
Although the parapharmaceutical line has grown sharply in the last two years, we are talking about one of the most important joint ventures between representatives of the cosmetics and food industries.
The operation is subject to approval from Brussels.
